Come on now, stop posting pics of that BIKE!!! HAHAHA, you know me and you will never be able to get our Maximas anywhere near our bikes. Come on, it is like going from a Ferrari to a Minivan, major difference in speed.

But to answer your questions, I would definetely get the UDP, that helped my car a huge amount, you can feel that the car is quicker and revs quicker and just has no LAG when you floor it.

A ypipe will also help a BIG AMOUNT. Both together you can get it for just around $600.

Not bad,

Dixit

My max is slower than yours.
Roger

UMD_MaxSE Nov 8, 2001 04:47 AM

i am slowest of all....

SC2K1 Nov 8, 2001 04:58 AM

Go ahead and get the Hi-Intake and Y-Pipe first. Those two combined will give you some nice power. As for the Jetta you should be able to beat him. I raced my friend who has '02 Jetta 1.8T 5spd and beat him but I do have mods as you can see from my sig.

ToYLeT902 Nov 8, 2001 05:08 AM

udp works.once you floor it, it goes, no 2 sec wait.

Good, aren't they?

Best gearboxes bar none, indestructible, infinitely tuneable engines. A whole sub-culture of specialists. They'll last for ever.

Mine still goes scarily fast for a teenager. Best bit is when you hit 6000 rpm and the engine howls like the clutch has exploded.

Totally standard (airbox, big-*** exhaust and all) blue 'n' white, like there was a choice... 1986 -11G with the slabby-sided bodywork and the small-block 1052cc oil-cooled motor.

Probably not completely ideal :D for a 30 mile a day commute in London England, but if I wanted something sensible, I'd have bought a nice pullover.

It is actually a UDP which stands for Underdrive Pulley. It replaced your crankshaft pulley with a nice and balanced and almost at least 5times less weight. Less rotational mass means less waisted HP on the crackshaft.

You can get it from Unorthodox Racing.

http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/

It costs about $200 and another $30 for belts. Dealer will not install this, either you can do it yourself or get a performance shop to install it for 2hrs of labor.

It will not void any warranties cause the dealer must prove in writing that the UDP caused the problem you might have had and that is why they wont fix it. But the chance of that is slim to none.
