Computer upgrades?

Okay, I have looked in a ton of places online, but maybe not in the right places...

Is there a ECU or Piggyback for the 5th Gen Max? Mine is an AUTO and I want to change the shift points and/or maybe get some power out of it.

Does anyone know where I could find something like this?

They seem to always have these for every car, but the one I own.. Thanks for your help guys..

Specifically for? Not really. You can do SupraStick for controlling shift points, and just get whichever piggyback for tuning it. EB, EU, MS, whichever.

That's if you don't want to get an ECU flash, that is.

I believe there is one for the 5.5 gen 6 speeds only.

Technosquare does 5.5 automatics too. There was some confusion couple months ago about this.

Email from TS
"Well, we don't generally offer flash for AT model customers.
We had few customers who told us they can't feel any difference after flash.
We dyno-ed the car and we can see the gain, but when you drive it, AT torque converter sucks some HP under some driving condition.
It is our the best interest to offer the product that satisfies customer 100%, so AT Maxima flash doesn't meet our product standard.
Although majority of customers who had our flash for AT model was very happy with it, it is not the way of our business just sell it any way.
That is why we say we don't offer Flash for AT model to public.
If you are willing to try our flash for your car with knowing our intension, you are more than welcome to send your ECU in or dive your car to our shop."

edit: he has a 3.0L, Don't think TS has anything for him, but he can always email them, they are pretty friendly.

Wasn't there a recent thread about someone who had that and it misfunctioned? I may be wrong, but that what I remember.

I am going to look into pricing the SupraStick.. From what you just mentioned there, you do need something that needs to piggyback it? Sounds like this is going to cost a fortune!! :bawling:

I am going to email TS tonight and see what they say.. How much do they generally run? I remember for the Se-R altima's it was around 250 to 350. I don't think I have enough mods on my car to make the TS worth it though. We'll see..

Any other input that I could use out there?!

I would...BUT... Flooring it from start to 120 it will shift at 5900 RPM when redline is around 6600 and the actual power is at 6400. When I run through the gears manually (I "shift" it just before 6000 to make up for the delay) it will hit the power band perfectly and actually pulls about a half second faster to 60. I want to move that shift point to 6500 where it SHOULD be.

madsen203 12-04-2008 10:46 PM

Alright, screw the supra stick as that seems WAY to complicated and I don't want "paddel shifting," just changing the shift points in itself. Anyway to make that possible?
