Pictures of 235/45/17's on SE rims?
I hope you guys can help me out... (I did search and did not find what i was looking for)
I plan on purchasing potenza 950's (The specs look awsome on Tire Rack.) I needed something that would have good snow traction as well as dry and wet traction. Obviously they don't come in 225/50/17, so i have come to my own conclusion after reading up on EVERY post on tire sizes to get them in 235/45/17's. I am NOT starting the tire "issue" again, i was just hoping someone could show me a picture of these tires mounted on their car. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :spin: |

My car has 235/45ZR17's on the stock wheels. They are the Michelin Pilot Sport XGT-Z4's that I have raved so much about.
The pic is not a close up of the tires, but you will get the idea. They look just enough wider and lower that they look like they belong on the car. |
Another pic go to www.maximadriver.com and look up one of my posts on that site. It shows a new pic of my car with my new tires on it.

Thanks for the pics... after seeing them I'm no longer worried that my 235/45/17's wont fit. The guy at tire rack even recommended that size as an optional tire size for the maxima. pretty cool, huh? So did the salesman at Avalinos (sp?) and the manager of a huge Goodyear place.

wondering...
would 245/45/17's fit? are 245/45/17 even made? i just want the widest tire available w/ out rubbing or any problems

Originally posted by Maxima-Ness Im debating wether to get the Pole Position S-O3's or the 950's. Yes, here in Ky we see our fair share of snow, usually no more then 3"-4" but sometimes we get two feet or more. I was worried that i wouldnt be able to drive at all in the snow on the S-O3's, and that would be where the 950's win. But, im really liking the S-)3's. If you get the tires real soon, let me know how they handle. Right now my tires might as well be bald. Every time it rains I skid all over the place. Thanx No problem man, i definatly will. They are getting installed on wednesday morning (because they have to be ordered). The ratings on the 950's are extremely impressive, they get high 8's and 9's in grip and handling/cornering and all that, PLUS a 7.2 in snow traction. The pole positions you mentioned seem very very impressive, earning high 9's all across the board in dry and wet weather, but there isnt any snow traction. and with a Y speed rating those definatly look like pure street tires... your car will be a sled once the snow falls. They have a Y speed rating verses the 950's H speed rating... But when are you going to go 180mph anyway? The 130mph rating on the H tires is conservative, plus the Max's top speed is close to there. (the stock re92's, in comparison, only have a 4.9 in snow traction, with high 6's low 7's in all grip/cornering/rain categories which tells us they SUCK.) |

Here are pictures of 245x45zr17s installed on one rim I took. He has had it on there for over 15k, with no problems.
