LED's from V-LEDS....

I ordered LEDs for my interior from V-LEDS. I installed them today and when i plugged in the LED board for the dome light the LEDs have a slight glow when the switch is on the "door" setting. They turn completely off when i turn the switch to off. Does anyone else have this issue or is there something wrong with mine?

Happens to mine, really doesn't bother me. I guess its normal

im just worried that it will drain the battery or set the alarm off from the current draw...

No it wont, only stays dim when the engine is on. Ive never loss power nor had my alarm go off.

:sprint: no issues here either and like he said once the engine is off the light goes completly out. I have the same issue with my door leds 5smt 194 bulbs they're dim when I shut the car off but once I lock the doors they go completly out, I believe both issues are due to lack of built in resistors.

My dome does the same thing. Only when running. Freaked me out for a couple weeks and no issues so I went with it.

Mine stays dim even when the engine is off and the doors are locked. The only time they are completely out is when i turn the switch to off.

Mine goes off normally. No glow.

My dome light stayed on too just slightly. By the next morning my battery was dead! Anyone have a fix to this annoying glow? Otherwise I/m just going to return them. Bought some from a guy on ebay too and they too have the glow, so it isn't just a vled problem. Anyone have a fix for it?

Thanks.

maybe adding a resistor to it can help

DrOmed Apr 4, 2009 02:23 PM

How do you add a resistor, what kind of resistor, where do you get the resistor etc etc.
Thanks.

Dr.Omed.

Explain what adding a resistor would do.
