00 se bose help! no sound after pothole!

so i was on my way home from the movies and in the great state of massachuettes we have amazing roads and i hit a pothole and the radio stopped producing sound. all the lights and functions seem to work except no sound. i checked the fuses in cabin and under hood and there fine, i also noticed the sound when u change the audio settings doesnt work either. ive already eliminated the circut board to the bose sub wich was done a while ago.

check for connection or aftermarket HU.
I'm kinda feed up by the Clarison HU, I'm getting an aftermarket one.

Same thing happened to me...no joke I smacked the side of the console a few times and it came back on haha but then I put in an alpine headunit anyway

I know if I hit a pot hole in NJ the bose head unit will pause for a few minutes and they come back on.

Have you tried cutting all power to the unit to see it that resets it and brings it back to life?

You may have dislodged the circuit board ribbon inside the unit. I'm not sure if this problem was on the 00 but on my 03 I had an intermittent left side speaker cut-out whenever I hit bumps and such. The fix was to either re-insert the ribbon or replace it altogether. I replaced mine and that fixed the problem, but while I was waiting for the part to arrive I just smacked the hu until it came back on.

I read yesterday in another radio post from another orger who was having a similar problem as yours. Turns out that his speaker wires were frayed at the speakers and there was metal to metal contact which did the same as yours and muted his sound. Check for a situation such as that in your system. Good luck man.
