Knock sensors from 4th, 5th, 6th gen's.
 

Hey guys. How different are the 3 KS's for the three generations? I remember reading some time ago someone used a 4th gen KS on a 5.5 and it worked flawlessly but 4th gen KS tend to crack more often. I haven't seen anyone replace 5th gen KS with a 6th gen, though. Anyone out there?

I'm contemplating on replacing mine soon however I only have access to a 4th gen KS and a 6th gen KS but not a 5th gen. I want to save time and money and I want to know if I can use the 6th gen KS (since it is newer). Since the job is a painful one and 4th gen and 5th gen are apparently interchangeable, is it the same case with 5th gen and 6th gen KS?

Sorry to bring this thread from the grave, but after doign a KS Simulator, I'm pretty sure a new KS is in the order.
