Hey guys, I've searched this problem, but yet to to find any proper fix for it. I have a 02 6MT. The vibration only happens during accelertation, and especially during heavy acceleration, and acceleration out of turns. The entire car vibrates, but the stearing. I first replaced my right axle, and it helped the vibration. I then changed the left axle, the vibration actually got even worse, which does not make sence to me. I got a perfect alignment done at the same time. My front end is tight, and I'm on coilovers. The axles are made by EMPI. They have never been a problem to me before on my other car, but this one. Should I get OEM Nissan axles? anyone have a solution? This problem is really discuraging me from keeping this beaty. Thanks for the input.

If one axle helped with the vibration and one made it worste then I say you fix what made it worst and see if its still there and see what else could be the problem... just get new axles, 6spd axles and auto axles are different so watch out for that

Yea, I waited about 2 weeks to get these axles, just because they were 6MT.

How low are you?

To the experts, does the Maxima suffer from horrible axle joint angles when lowered? The kind that cause excessive wear and premature failure? (not implying that these axles wore out in a few weeks)

I've been doing suspension work for over 10 years and this is the number one killer of all suspension, steering, transmission and tires. Yes sitting that low looks cool as **** but the bad side is that it will give you premature wear on all, suspension, steering, tires, and transmission and sometimes even fail unexpectedly. You want to look cool? you got to pay the piper. A car can handle great and not be that low but people prefer looks over function.

make sure yr not to low...if yr axles r not on a upward angle....what r u runnin for a trans mount?

i have the same issue and it is going to be fixed on Friday, lower control arms bushings.. nothing else..

Is that what caused your vibration? How did you come to figure the problem? I know I read a threat that you had similar issues. I will check my lower control arm bushings.

I just dropped my car on BC's and Im at 25.25inches from the ground inthe front. As soon as I dropped it, My axles were clicking. I figured I had 160k miles and it was about due any way. So I bought a set of GSP Axles, put them on and they were vibrating upon torquey acceleration and out of turns between 20-25mph. I did some research and found that member Lontar1 above, had the same problem.

I noticed that the GSP ones out of the box DID NOT have the balancers on the shafts of the axles as compared to the OEM ones. Here is a link to a SCION TC axle that does have them. http://clubsciontc.com/forums/produc...v-axles-32725/.

I am ASSUMING that this is why it vibrates. Did your EMPI axles come with them? I ended up buying axles from RAXLES.COM and they use OEM axles and build them to proper specs. I should be getting mine today and installing them. Remember both sides should have balancers and I also assume that raising your ride height will help it as well.

I will keep you posted tomorrow night after I get them installed.

how big of a drop do you have? i'm thinkin bout gettin the s tech's(2.2 front/1.6 rear) and i might need to rethink gettin them if it's gonna cause that many problems...

changed my driver side control arm. The bushings were worn. Still no improvment.

Sounds like the driveshafts aren't fully engaged properly, not just into the Trans/wheel hubs but the shaft in the c/v section of the driveshaft that can disengage sometimes
