Whoever the company is, they must be fairly new. The applications page says "Coming soon" in big letters on the top right. It's gray, though, so it sort of blends in.

I've been lurking. Sorry to chime in randomly.

If these struts go over well in both short and long-run reliability, I may be in for a set down the road.

There is a possibility that these could be decent.

I mean, it probably only costs Tokico like $10 to make one strut, but they have a large profit margin.

This company is new so they are probably trying to get past the barriers of entry of the strut market.

Dear maxima_style,

No will not work with a 2.0 drop, Max drop is 1.5 that it will work with.. we do not have any brands avaialable that can handle a 2.0 drop on a maxima suspension geometery. The maxima comes with very little wheel travel from the factory, if you drop more than 1.5 inches you will run into poor ride quality poor handling and blown shocks in 2 month, some people might say otherwise to sell you shocks, but the truth will not change , selling shocks is all we do and we know every cars suspension design and what they're capable of handling, however there are solutions for proper lowering of 2 inches of a maxima and that is to have a custom shortened strut body made to allow for more wheel travel but that will cost more than $850 to put together, Thanks

- jdmwerks13

heres somewhat of an answer

^^^ So in other words, anyone riding on anything more than H-Tech height drop is out.

These sound similar to the Tokico Blues. Slightly upgraded from OEM, but still pretty much just a replacement.

WOW for $160 I might just have to give it a shot. I was going to save up and get illuminas but I can get these now and still get a Y pipe at the same time. WIN WIN for me. I might get some H&R springs while I am at it. I belive that as low as I would like to go.

These are going to be way way different than the Illuminas. But I mean, if you're just looking for a small drop, then they might be alright.

I just got my car about 6 week ago and the struts are shot. So I have been driveing around with no dampaning(well the front isnt to bad but the back has nothing) I figured since I was going to have to replace them why not lower the car a little. I really want the illuminas but being the fact work is soooooooo slow right now it would take a while before I could get them and springs. These I could get in a few weeks. Decision????

I guesss what I am trying to say any dampaning right now would be a huge improvement over what I am driveing now. I would really like the illuminas but if these are OK and will last them what the heck

I would just like my car to handle nice and ride nice. From what I have read on here the h&r springs are really nice and lower the car 1.4 front and 1.3 rear but the reviws I have read have been with illumina struts?????

gents--I'll be the guinea pig here and give you a full review. My 2003 has 140K and it was time to change out the struts. I decided to give the Staggs a shot since they are relatively inexpensive. Long story short-- they DO NOT FIT the 2002-2003 Maxima's. They may for the 2000/2001. But the reason they don't fit is is the ABS wire that goes diagonal in the stock TOKICO's but in the STAGG the clip space for it is NOT correct which pushes the ABS line downward and stretches it. Only workaround is to use a zip tie...but I am being cautious here with the zip ties since the groove isn't right. I have not yet test it yet...but will have more info tomorrow after I take it for a test drive.

Thank you! Now we can see how they really stand up. If it turns out well, I might be going with the same setup

I test drove on the stagg struts yesterday after complete install and I want to bring this to the attention of those who have the 02/03 maxima's-- the ABS brackets DO NOT fit but may fit the 00/01...I do know the OEM parts for the front struts are the same for 00/01 versus the 02/03. they ride okay-- similar to stock but after 140K...forgot what stock feels like anymore. But I recommend you go with the KYB's 346366/367 (part numbers) if you want to go to stock...the brackets are a direct fit.

From my research, Monroes probably aren't the best choice for a lowered car. I'm not sure what their warranty says for the maximum drop (if any) from stock before the warranty is void. Even from companies like KYB and Tokico, the most drop they will cover under warranty is 1.5".

I found a guy selling a full suspension setup, all parts still in the box, for the 5th gen on eBay last night. Illumnias, H&R Sport, rear sway, and a Custommaxima.com STB as a buy-it-now for $500 shipped. Sealed the deal this morning.

I'm anxious to get feedback about performance on these. However, such a low price feels cheap to me.

Okay, it's likely been asked over and over, and I'm sure it's a personal preference, but here goes...

To get stock ride, what is best "value buy". Given the vehicle is 2002 from Houston with 120k+ miles, I expect to get maybe about another 100k/5 years.

I'm considering just buying the stock setup from courtesyparts.com

Thanks,

Adam

Ok, so I received the Stagg's on Tuesday and had my bro who works for nissan inspect them. This wont help much since i haven't installed them but he and the other mechanics at Nissan say they seem like good quality parts and couldn't believe how much I got them for . I should have them installed by this time next week along with the progress springs so ill let you guys know how they ride with a more agressive drop. Ill also put some pics up in my album when im all done.

They are for the 4th gen, but in the listing is talks about High quality NOK seals. Sound familiar?

Actually got around to installing my suspension today, all went smooth besides that earthquake while my car was on jack stands . The staggs are a perfect fit and the ride is great so far . All pics are in my album and ill upload a pic with my new ride height sometime tomorrow.

Actually, I have Progress springs now with the Stagg SHS struts. It was late yesterday and its been raining today so I haven't had a chance to take a pic of the new ride height.

Im definetly no expert but im really happy with the results. I haven't gone over any potholes yet but it has handled great over other small irregularities in the road. I've only driven about 50 miles so far so its gonna be a couple weeks before I can give a good review on these.
