Is the washer that is used on the engine drain plug the same size as the one used on the automatic transmission drain plug on 2000?

No the engine drain washer as a copper crush washer/gasket which will be smaller than the trans. The trans is just a copper washer/gasket non-crush-able. You should be able to get one at your local parts store or nissan dealership. Should only be a couple bucks.
