Maxima Forums - Car won't start

I know I should search first ... but who does that!?!? lol
Anyway, my car won't start. I tried jumping it ... it worked ... ran for like 5 minutes ... then shut off. All the lights on the dash are on. I tried jumping it again with no success. I'm hoping it's not the alternator ... Do I just need a new battery? Any opinions?

I'm thinking maybe I should go have it checked like at AutoZone or something, then that would tell me if it is indeed my alternator.

Or maybe it's my battery?

I don't know, maybe I'll go get those items checked and then chime back in and give everyone an update since this problem isn't common at all and this is the first thread on it ever.
