Ghustle Down....... again

i swear nissan should give me an award for being so loyal to their brand.... sooo for all the folks who were trying to beat my times or run me can do so with much confidence now lol... my transmission officially went today, no reverse and no 3rd gear, crazy how the 3rd gear went out while i was driving straight... just so you guys know, ive had an extremely looong record with nissan transmission that i honestly lost count on what number transmission im going on, seriously... anyways this isnt really a thread to just update everybody on the status of my car moreso, trying to get help on a parts list on a 6spd swap... i know most say just buy a 6spd but the maxima wont be my only car for long and i wont be seen driving another auto nissan... as far as my knowledge goes i need...........
NB: i dont wanna do the full 6spd as i dont mind the codes, the 6spd is moreso for the tad bit more a reliability in trans vs the tragic... im also not doing it for the speed (yep you heard correct)

* 6spd trans
Clutch
Master cyl
slave cyl
shifter assembly
shifter pedal
shifter ****
clutch pedal
passenger axle (driver axle if LSD)
shifter cable
shifter bracket

naw im not going to be going the full ECU swap route... i wanna continue using my auto ECU, less $$$ again my maxima is a daily driven point a to point B car, i dont care if it had CEL for whatever, i dont really care much for it anymore, im sure my transmission is still under warranty but thats also something i dont care for unless they will send me a 6spd trans... i wont even take a free auto trans with free installation if i got the chance, im completely done, this is 9 or 10 auto trans, like i said i lost count seriously

I don't think it's possible for this to happen. Not as easy as a 4th gen deal. Limp mode will set in if you mix/match ECU's.

His name on NYCmaximas is Ohhhh Noes. Ask him. You don't need to swap anything except the ECU, I think. BUT I'm not sure how it'd set off limp mode. My only concern is the speed limiter. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Good luck, man. Keep us posted.

The TPS/APPS sensors are really finicky and like to set off limp mode, especially since the AT ECU has a lot of triggers for it (CAN lines, VSS/etc)

Definitely subscribing to this thread... I'm considering doing a 6MT swap too, because the colder it gets, the worse my tranny shifts. Now I have 2-3 and 3-4 slip. Good luck with your swap OP!

That's me. I'll post more on this later. Your parts list looks good so far, you don't need the master cylinder only the slave. Also don't forget a clutch line and tranny mount. As far as the ecu you can use your auto, keep the gear selector plugged in and screw it into the neutral position and it will start and drive. You'll have a CEL but you've already said you don't care. I drove around like that for a year then got a 6spd ECU. You can get the 6spd ECU for usually around $100 and program your keys for $50 from a locksmith with the equipment. Not that much more money to do it right.
