A'pexi Rev Speed Meter says I shift at 6533 rpm from 1st-2nd (w/o manually shifting)

***BOOM*** :wall:

No more speed limiter for me. :)

I'll post pictures tonight. If I'm nice, I'll even post which wires to splice into on the ECU. :p

Y2KevSE Dec 17, 2001 07:32 AM

BTW, I have a 2k automagic which supposedly shifts at 6000 rpm. :D

No, only your speedlimiter. If I remember correctly, you said you didn't have one.

I don't have a speed limiter, i can go over 140 whenever i like. What i can't do is go above 6700 RPM's. I want to.

The car sounds different up in the 6300-6600 rpm range. :)

Kev--Is it possible to remove the engine limiter that stops me at 6700? When i shift out of first there is a little lag because 2nd gear is so big. I think if i can shift at 7 thousand, in 1st and then 6500 in second i can get a quicker 0-60. I have a 5 speed 2k1

Y2KevSE Dec 18, 2001 06:48 AM

A reprogrammed ECU should be able to get rid of your rev limiter... but no one has that out yet.

Have you worked on the rev limiter with the Impul ECU, Hogan?
