P0031 and P0037 codes - anything to worry about?

I see that these are heater codes for the o2 sensors, not the actual o2 sensors. Is this something that is robbing me of power or making my MPGs go down or just an annoying code? I wanted to get this fixed if it's not a minor issue. Also, when the codes were pulled, I had 2 of each, one said pending the other didn't.

Did a search on here and no one ever said what they did about their 0037 code. Hoping for a little help from the 5th gen gods lol thanks!

Bump :)

Won't affect performance but for me, it did single the end of the precats. As soon as I got the secondary O2 fixed, the dreaded P0420 code popped up and didn't go away until I replaced the precats.

Thanks for the info, however, I have headers so I don't think I'll be having any precat issues :D

In that case, I'd just get O2 sims and be done with it.

P0031 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Heater Low Voltage (Bank 1)

P0037 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Heater Low Voltage (Bank 1)

Hrmmm that usually means the sensor is bad doesn't it? I always get o2 sensor codes switched. If it's a primary sensor: Yes it will rob power. Primary sensors do alot on a newerish vehicle. They control the timing and fuel maps. It will also cause massive misfire issues at partial throttle when the vehicle is warm because when you go wot it runs off a certain map and when it's cold it runs off a certain map

P0031 and P0037 codes???

The sensors have heaters in them and need to be at a specific temperature to work properly. So if the heaters are no good they are not functioning properly and should be replaced

I have the same issue! P0031, bank 1 sensor 1, it was replaced with a new one today "/
