p1448 Evap Vent won't go away

What's up guys, I have inspection coming up at the end of April so I'm trying to get rid of this code. So far I changed out the canister with the vent control valve already on it from the junkyard but the code keeps returning. Prior to installing the canister and valve I bench tested the valve and it was functioning properly.

My question is what should be my next step? I'm thinking either blow the hoses (not sure which) or test the wire at the ecm to make sure its working.

I did a search and I didn't really find much. Everyone who had this code replaced the said items and its went away - my car is special :goofy:

Assuming your junkyard charcoal canister isn't cracked at the valve, you could try replacing the gas cap. It runs about $20 at the dealership.

You may need to have a mechanic run a smoke test to find the leak.

I considered the gas cap but I'm not getting a code for gross or small evap leak but I may give that a try

Some of the hoses back there can tend to leak.. Especially the slide on hoses. I ended up putting a couple of hose clamps on them and no more codes.

It sorta broke off right where it attaches, so I just cut some off and moved the clip down
