Neo4 for the AC control lights, Neo5 For the cluster. ya need 3 neo4's and 4 Neo5's or more if you want to add to turn signal and diff warning indicators, i put 2 in my turn signal lights on the cluster also.

Ghost_54 Mar 21, 2011 07:48 PM

Pretty much there just drop ins but there LED

MAXXED_816 Mar 21, 2011 08:29 PM

Ive been wanting to do this for some time, you just sold me on picking it up again. I bought the 3mm neo's for AC control by mistake while back and have been burnt out on trying it again. Just little nervous taking instrument cluster out.

NissanTun3r Mar 21, 2011 08:32 PM

looks damn good! So if I take my ac contrrol thing out, I can simply take out the old bulbs n slide in these new led neo4 bulbs?

basically yes, you have to disassemble the ac unit little bit but once you can access them they pop right in. while you have it out you can swap out the light that shines down on the shifter. its a t5 iirc, unless you wanna put something else in there.

i cant find a t5 bulb on the site, link?

So all I need is 3 little bulbs for the whole ac climate control, it looks like it would need a more bulbs for each of the buttons no?

maxima_gle Mar 21, 2011 08:48 PM

Checked out the site and they have a 2 lumen and a 6 lumen? I assume u used the 6 lumen?

MAXXED_816 Mar 21, 2011 08:48 PM

they must not carry them, you can find them on ebay. t5's can also be used for the key ring illumination. yeah there is only three, i figured there would be more as well. thats why hotspotting sometimes occurs, and some buttons are brighter than others.

i can live with that

f.weezy.babii Mar 22, 2011 08:07 AM

is it hard to take out the ac unit and dash area?

TallTom Mar 22, 2011 08:26 AM

Please tell me that your high beams are on and that you aren't running HIDs in halogen housings.

Please!

TunerMaxima3000 Mar 22, 2011 08:31 AM

Looks good, In for some pics with a better camera though!

Professor Mar 22, 2011 08:38 AM

OK to ease the confusion
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...pecs%2FNEO.htm
Go there, Click See Prices and Buy, Select Neo4 If your doing the ac stuff, Select Neo5 if your doing the cluster, Pick your color, the type and how many.
The one's with the 120Degree beam pattern help eliminate hot spots.

Best i can do with my samsung 5.1mp cam, i turned off the flash because it would defeat the purpose , I cannot get a clear pic no matter how hard i try when i turn off the flash, iam not a camera guru and just have it set to auto :goofy:

The camera needs to be stabilized, i.e. on a tripod or a surface, to get a clear picture. It cannot move at all for it to come out clearly. Preferably, use a remote or set it on a timer.

Despite your blurry pics, though, it looks pretty good.

MAXXED_816 Mar 22, 2011 11:18 AM

Yes and so are the center ones, There is a blue coating on the back of the gauge faces that make them blue, I ruined my cluster pulling off the needles to get the faces off, i had to get a new one at a junk yard and swap mem chips to preserve my mileage, its a royal pain :bawling:

NissanTun3r Mar 22, 2011 02:24 PM

I bought my bulbs last night and I'll attempt the ac unit when they arrive

Awesome looking forward to doing this to my max!

Shift_A32B Mar 28, 2011 05:08 PM

Is that a Panasonic stereo?:goofy: Looks blurry.

gunmax Apr 12, 2011 02:45 PM

anybody else do this and has pics they can show???

Professor Apr 12, 2011 05:35 PM

Ok i got rid of the Blue color on the cluster, I had to remove the gauge faces and remove the blue coating on the back, I tried this in the past and messed up the needles bad, so this time i took them out, removed the 2 screws on the front of the gauge face and spun it around to remove the coating, iam alot happier with the outcome.

djkevinnn Apr 12, 2011 05:44 PM

+1 for completely white. I wish I could do this, but 5.5's can't :/

TunerMaxima3000 Apr 12, 2011 07:57 PM

Looks great Prof! Very crisp white.

eclipse98 Apr 14, 2011 09:15 AM

great job!, looks wonderful, i personally have a 2000 maxima SE, the gagues have the blue circle around them and my AC unit is electronic, do you know if i can still do the upgrades which you have done with your car?

Yeah, I was just going to point out the same thing. Us '02+ guys do not have this option as the design/bulbs are totally different. Unfortunately nothing exists to get us even close to that as far as "drop-in" goes :(
