5.5gen 6 speed...I didn't like redline 75w85 gear oil , back to Amsoil or what ?

Hello

I changed my previous Amsoil 75w90 GL-4 tranny oil when did the clutch on my 02 ...... Although there was a negative point with Amsoil and that is it needs sometime to get warm for smooth shifting (especially in cold KY winter) but apart from that it was fine , actually I have now slightly more 3rd gear crunching with redline 75w85 (though rare , touch wood:D), shifting from 1st to 2nd is more difficult but now more when the tranny gets warmer , 5th  not that smooth sometimes ... I did the ES bushings yesterday with ton of white lithium grease spray , better stick stability and smoothness but nothing magic ... I Stil blame the oil...So now :

1-Go back to Amsoil 75w90 GL-4 ?
2-Try Redline 75w90 GL-4 ?
3.Motul ? and where to buy that ? is it GL-4 ?
4.Any other good manual transmition 75w90 GL-4 fluid ?

Your gear oil experience would be apreciated ...
Thanx

I did , but most of this topic is about how good redline 75w85 is
But as long as I tried it and didn't find it better than Amsoil , I'm trying to see what others suggest in my situation..

Missed that. Sorry.

Reading comprehension > Me.

I've always heared mostly poor reviews of redline, but you have to remember everyone deals with a different climate as well as a different tranny (mileage, oil change interval, oil type before switch to synthetic, clutch life, etc), plus, we all drive differently.

These things are kind of wishy-washy to me, so I always try to pull out the most basic of known, proven facts on each oil, and then arrange them, and pick the oil that seems to suit my needs the best.

To say one is better than the other, or that 'this oil' will fix your problem, is just ignorant garbage that is thrown around on here. Take things with a grain of salt with oil talk, deal only in facts.

I use Motul because that is what my Mechanic uses in his spec V Sentra when he races at Mosport every weekend. His tranny has the **** kicked out of it every weekend and he has had no problems. And it has the same internals as the maxima. The shifting is butter smooth even at -30C. Make sure you get the 75w80
I've tried the redline and the amsoil and motul is the best hands down.
