I want to go with a single din head unit, I looked in the window of a GLE and the panel looked a little stupid with just an open slot holder there. Does anyone know if it has a front to close it or is it just an open slot. And does it really look that bad??

Could be UGLY....
 

The bad part about switch the head unit is that you will always need a install kit since the dash V's, man I hate that. I've been debating between going with a Double Din w/ install kit (Head Unit's look cool) but install may look bad, Single din JVC Kameleon w/ custom install (too expensive and if not done right it will look like s___), and last of all just leaving the Bose head unit and adding an EQ w/ a line driver. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the last one. I feel the same way you do I really dislike the look of a Single Din w/ empty whole.
