Headlight Lens Replacement

I have just bought an 03 SE with the HID's. The one side must be older because it is a little hazy/cloudy. I tried to use a few of the restorer kits out there but the results still arnt pleasing. I was hoping someone could tell me if another non-HID lens will fit the housing on the HID's. I figured I'd use the oven trick and replace the lens with a non-HID lens just because they are cheaper on ebay. Any knowledge would help, thanks.

Just try to find a used OEM one, those aftermarket lamps/lens don't last that long.

Wet sand (600-2500 grit) then polish with orbital/variable speed polisher with good polishing compounds.

Ebay aftermarket lens are not as good as OEM, but with a good spray of clear UV protection it should last few years under the sun.

Nope, the 5th gen housing is slightly different in size from the 5.5. One is bigger than the other, if i remember correctly, 5.5 is bigger than 5
