Sway Bar Link Tightening Procedure

When doing the final tightening on the sway bar links, should the suspension be loaded or unloaded (ie: the wheels on the ground or not on the ground)?

I don't think it matters and the FSM doesn't mention anything about that.

^^Agreed. When I did mine, the front of the car was still jacked up in the air, wheels hanging.

I need to do that... again.

The squeaks in my suspension it's getting worse and worse every day. Today I looked the sway links and I noticed how the nuts are moving in the sway bar, not a lot of movement but enough for that damn squeaks!

So... No matter if the car it's hanging or in the ground?

When I replaced mine, I noticed there was a bit of play on the bottom link. Although probably unnecessary, I placed a jack under the control arm and brought it up to tighten the link with the control arm pulled up as much as possible.
