Wow that's nice. Any up close pics of it without the reverse lights on? I'm curious about the projector that was used.

clintb3astwood 08-05-2012 08:29 AM

clintb3astwood 08-05-2012 08:29 AM

I installed mine yesterday but didn't take the car out at night. Hope to see how bright they are tonight.

clintb3astwood 08-05-2012 09:09 AM

bro the lights are INSANE. turn your key to acc, then throw in reverse, step outside and admire the light show.

T_Behr904 08-05-2012 09:29 AM

I've never seen led's inside a projector housing. It must put out a nice light pattern to help you see while you're backing up.

fishtale6spd 08-05-2012 09:34 AM

Hell yea I got the 5watt there insane :)

tigersharkdude 08-05-2012 10:06 AM

link?

clintb3astwood 08-05-2012 10:14 AM

the 5watt is awesome but these 7's are even better! and yes especially if you have tinted rear windshields its perfect!
damn for some reason they are $28.99 now, non the less very well worth the buy.

VQMagic 08-05-2012 10:21 AM

Does this work with the stock harness?

tigersharkdude 08-05-2012 10:25 AM

Whats the difference between the 7W Q5 and 7W R5? Minus one being half the price of the other

Maybe Q5 is 1st gen
and R5 is second gen?

clintb3astwood 08-05-2012 09:13 PM

TunerMaxima3000 08-06-2012 09:54 AM

This loooks INSANE I want me some output pics

Mr. Blue Sky 08-06-2012 10:34 AM

damn, those look great, and look like they have good output. The price has jumped to 38.99 now. wtf?

tigersharkdude 08-06-2012 10:46 AM

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2xHigh-Power...17%26rk%3D1%26

Those are Q5 instead of R5, cant visibly see a difference between the Q5 and R5...im thinking maybe first gen and second gen. If they blow, it's only $12

Oh ok, like I said I didn't even know there were two different kinds.

And yea bro idk what that's about lol

Mr. Blue Sky 08-06-2012 01:30 PM

well, supposedly the r5's are 2x brighter than q5's. the problem is, how would someone be able to tell they have genuine r5's if they have never had the q5's before? It is entirely possible to sell someone q5's and claim they are r5's. Maybe I am just too cynical.

luvlexus101 08-06-2012 04:22 PM

bananas

but that 38.99 is wild, could almost buy an hid kit at that cost..

tigersharkdude 08-06-2012 04:28 PM

Hence why I spent $12 ^^ if I want brighter, I will just go with some HID's, but I dont think I will need them

clintb3astwood 08-06-2012 05:18 PM

i really dont understand how it jumped to that price, i got em for 18.99

ATL 08-06-2012 05:31 PM

how about these, r5 for $18

cmd26 08-06-2012 06:25 PM

Can these fit in the corner lights?

TunerMaxima3000 08-06-2012 06:54 PM

Looks like it's time to contact mr. Tyutyunnik to see if he's come up with anything like this.

clintb3astwood 08-06-2012 08:28 PM

Bro if these or something similar brightness wise could fit the corner lights, I'm on it!

cmd26 08-06-2012 08:51 PM

I saw 168 isnt that the same size as 194?

clintb3astwood 08-06-2012 09:24 PM

Idk if its the same size but I know 194 Is the fitment proper size.

TunerMaxima3000 08-07-2012 08:43 AM

194 and 168 have the same type of base (T10 wedge). The difference is the bulb design/size.

Therefore these WILL work in both locations, at least, they will FIT the wedge socket. The Front marker lights fit fairly large bulbs but clearance is tight with large LED bulbs.

clintb3astwood 08-07-2012 09:29 AM

Hmm what do you suggest that fits and had super bright LEDs to fit the parking lights?

TallTom 08-07-2012 09:50 AM

I have these in mine: 5k light (white, not blue-white) and quite bright.

fishtale6spd 08-07-2012 10:25 AM

Do not put these in corner lights they will melt your lens I already did :(.they get way to hot for constant use in a headlight!! Get a led bulb or something else

I figured that the 5w-7w bulbs would get really hot. The 2w ones I linked work well and don't get hot enough to melt the parking light housing. Been running them for a year now.

clintb3astwood 08-07-2012 12:32 PM

Oh wow that's crazy, tom how is the light output on the 2w led bulbs?

TallTom 08-07-2012 12:44 PM

They are pretty bright. I had the 6k bulb in there, but bought the 5k and like them so much better. They almost match the OEM Philip's HIDs.

I may have some poorly taken pics on my home PC somewhere. Will look tonight if I get a chance.

clintb3astwood 08-07-2012 01:03 PM

Yes definitely post some, cuz I want something super bright!
