CD stuck/won't load
Hi folks,
I have a 02 Max and one of my CD's got stuck in the radio and wouldn't come out even after pressing the eject button numerous amounts of times. So I took another CD and sort of stuck it in and pried a bit and finally unloaded it. Now when I go to load a CD it won't load. The radio recognizes that there is a CD at the door so you hear the loading motor run but it won't load. Is this an easy fix? Is there one of those tiny belts inside that may have come off the pulleys inside if they do indeed have such mechanism? or am I doomed with no CD player? |
when CD players mess up, you are, to borrow your word, doomed. What you can't tell is if it is an electrical or mechanical problem. The motor/mechanism that sucks the CD into the player and the motor/mechanism that positions the CD and loads the head are 2 separate things. You would have to open up the unit and try to operate it and see what is actually not working.
