Who'd be interested in CXJ V1 spacers?

He said he wanted to get a group deal started, and might be able to knock the price down to $134.99, if there's enough interested buyers.

I'm definitely interested, I just need to check my finances.

I'm not selling this, I'm potentially gonna be another buyer of it. I'm just trying to get some other people in on this so we can get that deal.

Here's a link for the paypal he has setup (re-posted from the My5thGen.org group on Facebook)
Paypal link

"If I can get 10 dedicated owners aboard I can let the kits go for $134.99. Spread the word but I will need 7 days time after payments are made upfront before I can mail the kits out. I am a very honest person so once 10 orders have come in I will annouce it. First come first serve"

"price is set at $134.99. Once the 10 have made payment I will erase the link and begin mailing the kits"

Admins - If this needs to be moved, please do. Just trying to get some more 5th gens in on this deal. Thanks :)

What is a V1 Spacer kit, like what does it come with for those that are interested....:)

AznRyan Nov 15, 2012 04:40 PM

V1 Spacers

That's the V1 Spacer link from the CXJPerformance.com website.

(all info is either from Cory's Facebook posts, or his website)

"CXJ PERFORMANCE is proud to present phenolic its 3pc thermal intake spacers for the nissan. These spacers are made from 3/8 thick high grade phenolic. The spacers will isolate the throttle body , elbow and the manifold from the block.

With the isolated areas spaced off this way the manifold will run about 33 degrees cooler thus creating colder , denser , heavier air into the chamber

Dyno testing has shown an 12 horse power increase and 15 increase of torque.
Sold as a complete kit which includes
2 - Extended Stainless Steel Manifold Studs
3 - Stainless Steel Manifold Bolts
7 - 8mm Stainless Steel Lock Washers
4 - Stainless Steel Allen Head Throttle Body Bolts
4 - 6mm Stainless Steel Lock Washers"

I've been planning to get spacers for a while, and at that price, there's no way I can pass it up, lol

T_Behr904 Nov 15, 2012 08:27 PM

Contact Aaron at NWP... i'm sure he'll price match it.

CMax03 Nov 15, 2012 08:43 PM

I've installed both CXJ and NWP spacer kits CXJ's spacers are thicker,...But NWP's are more refined and have a better finished product....CXJ's hardware is nice especially the studs.....

Will the UIM spacer make the Manifold bump/rub against a strut bar? Anyone?

Chris Gregg Nov 16, 2012 06:12 AM

Depends on the strut bar. I had a $20 ebay bar. Yes, it rubbed and was very close to rubbing even after spacing the bar with washers. This was with Aaron's 5 peice spacer kit. My understanding is that Cory's is still thicker, even minus the two lower intake manifold spacers.

How much clearance do you have now? CXJ's are 3/8" thick!

Eh, I gotta measure, it's close though, I have a Racingline.

You can always diegrind some material off your intake exterior......

I've been looking at getting spacers for a while now too, I might just wait till after the winter unless I can get the 5-pc spacers for a deal somewhere.

Chris Gregg Nov 17, 2012 07:17 AM

Check into Black Friday deals.

T_Behr904 Nov 17, 2012 07:45 AM

I just got an e-mail from NWP about a sale going on for their spacer kit for less.

If I were going to spend money, NWP > CJX for many reasons.

As a matter of fact, I'll never buy anything from CJX because their products don't get tested no where near the level of NWP's. A perfect example of that is the BOP's that CJX was selling for the 7th gen VQ's that actually LOST power. Here's the link NWP posted showing the test results...

*CXJ

And this thread isn't to bash someone's product, it's to put a deal out there and try to get people in on it.
I'm in on it, and looking for some more people so we can get a batch started :P

Never knew a guy could get that much power out of a spacer kit like that. Car must just feel the same after it warms up as it does when it's cold, which is to say not much different, unless you're in a really hot climate.

Here's some pictures of the CXJ and NWP next to each other.....The thicker lighter color spacers are the CXJ; The darker thinner ones are the NWP:
