Spare tire cover alternative
1 Attachment(s)
hi all,
i recently picked up a spare tire cover from djfrestyl and it is super awesome to have a flat trunk again. during my search i also found this, a nissan cefiro a33 (JDM Maxima) tire cover which is much superior. Attachment 34172 i got one of my relatives to pick me up one in asia. i'll bring it back the next time i am over there. it cost about $15 - 20 |
Link?

Not bad...but honestly if I wanted to buy one I'd buy from DJFrestyl, he's a good guy.
|
I have one from him too; I'm just curious.
|
i love the quality of the spare tire cover from djfrestyl, i guess the cefiro is a good alternative just hard to come by if i gotta order it from asia. maybe ebay would be the only option.....
then again "0 results found for cefiro spare tire cover" you would need to have a relative/friend scouring the junk yards in asia to find the cover, pay for it, then pay shipping and custom fees for you to get it. it might be easier/cheaper to get djfrestyl's cover. |
Not bad. To bad they aren't sold over here.
|
Yea, it looks real nice. But, not being able to get one = fail.
|
+1 on djfreestyl's cover. I was all set to buy one when I learned that it isn't compatible with a full size spare like my i30 has.
|
Where can I find the one from DJFrestyl?

So yeah, your options are to wait and hope someone sells theirs (unlikely) or build your own. |

definitely, ill snap a pic over the weekend. Its mdf board, i think 3/4 thick, covered in carpet material. Theres a square hole in the center and a wooden “pocket” that extends down and allows it to be attached by the spare tire holder/bolt. Its an extremely basic design, should be very easy to whip up. Ill be sure to make some basic measurements for you guys as well. |

if youre lucky you might eventually find one for sale second hand in the classifieds subforum. He doesnt seem to be active here anymore and even if he was, he no longer builds/sells the spare tire covers - i actually happened to buy the last one he made before he closed up shop forever.
