Progress Anti Roll vs Rear Anti Sway Bars

I'm confused...

I emailed Progress asking them about their discontinued rear sway bar (could not find one on their site and Cattman no longer offers them) and they claimed that my info is wrong and they still make rear sway bars for the Maxima. I then replied for them to show me it on the site and got no response.

http://www.progressauto.com/products.../productID/460

I see they offer an Anti-ROLL bar for 195$, is this the same as an anti SWAY bar? Clearly not, because they have different categories for each on the left side menu.

Sooo what is the difference in terminology and perfomance between these 2 types of bars?

Thank you

Anti-sway bars and anti-roll bars are essentially the same thing. Perhaps it is more technically correct to call it an anti-roll bar.

If you click on the anti-sway link on the Progress website and then click on the specific products, they are all called anti-roll bars. Why they have the two different buttons is a mystery to me.

So so ahead and get the anti-roll bar.

ahh okay, seems kinda confusing with the 2 names and 2 categories but I guess theyre both just simple bars anyways, cant be too complicated or different even if they were intended to be. Thanks boys

Roll bar, sway bar. Different names for the same thing. Kind of like coolant/anti-freeze. Down here in the south, everyone refers to it as coolant, whereas up north, it's usually referred to as anti-freeze.
