2000 Maxima window fuse keep blowing after aftermarket cd player install.
Hi guys, I just bought a Sony Cd Player and install it and now my window fuse under the hood keep blowing. Could it be in the deck wire harness? I hooked the ground cable from the deck to a metal frame and just left the ground cable on the car harness alone and taped it up. Could this be the reason my fuse keep blowing??? Please help!

Unless you damaged the wire harness while installing the radio, there is no connection between the radio and the windows. I don't know if any of the wire for the windows even run behind the radio area.
Exactly when does the fuse blow? When you are doing something with the radio??? Or is it when you go to use the windows.? This is probably an unfortunate coincidence in timing. That fuse also supplies power to the seats and sunroof. |
Don't think I damage the wire harness. I notice that the seat, window, and locks stop working right after I install the deck. I replace the 40 amp fuse under the hood and it would blow after few minutes.
