What's it worth?
 

Hello members, questions for ya. I have a '02 SE 6pd I'm looking to sell, but really don't have a idea on how to price it. Body is in great shape, as well as the interior (cloth). Has Bose system with a kenwood head unit. Problem is... well it will not pass smog. I have had engine problems... well three engines worth of problems. Orginal engine had a knock and a severe oil leak. It had a crack in the timing cover. Engine number just quit. It also had a crack in the front iming cover (Timing tensioner fail?). Engine three runs, and pulls strong; but... burns oil. I had the main cat replaced by the shop that replace engine three, but they did a ****ty job welding it in and also created a exhaust leak. Currently it has a test pipe welded in. I also have a brand new front cat. Car has new o2 sensers, clutch, and front/rear cam sensors. She is sitting in the front of my house collecting dust... What should I do?

Sell it. Someone will swap an 09 maxima motor in it and have that thing running like a brand new car.

Too bad way up North in Cali, sure somebody will take ot for a cheap price if you dont want to Deal with It....:D

If you're an honest seller, it's worth maybe $3-4k?

Do you have pics? What is mileage on engine three? What kind of car did it come from? What is mileage on the chasis and tranny? Anything aftermarket at all? Recent repairs besides engine...like suspension, sensors, etc?

ranmas, yeah I want to sell it. I have almost 3k tied up in labor and for the engine (I have no way to do the work myself). I just cannot afford to put anymore money into it. I figure someone on the ORG that has mad skills will do what you said. Car/tranny itself has under 110k. The replacemnet engine is supposed to have 120k. Smokes bad and runs rich. I beleive the valvles in rear bank (nearest firewall?) are shot. It keeps fouling those plugs only. New brakes (pads) all the way around. Tires are ok. G.A.B and thats it for any engine mods. It does have es bushings on the shifter. New tint. Will post pics this evening once I wash it...

just sold my dads 02 for a little over 3. It was worth more KBB but it was sitting for too long and needed it moved. His interior was leather and mint though. Only issue was the common seat motor

Only thing wrong in the interior is the center cousol arm rest that is broken.

I'm hoping for a possible 3-4k. Unfortunately thats what I owe on it. I just want it sold and gone to someone who will get her running like she should!

It's a nice car. If you put it for sale, someone will probably take it off your hands for 3k no problem.

It really is a nice car and love driving it. Just been a lot of bad luck and I am tapped out.
