@DennisMik
Sure thing. Bring it down to Los Angeles haha
@LilyJanay
I used Eagle one engine detailer/degreaser to get a the dirt out then i Used CD2 engine detailer to give it that new engine shine.
Real easy to do. Like i said, 15 minutes of work.

Recharged the battery!
Since last weeks trip on our SUZUKI XL-7(SUKITRON),three full tanks later at 19mi per gallon i had to return it to the the wifey,
Only wish the Max will get even a lil close to that,but she still got it. I only hooked up the jumpcables from the battery to sukitron batt(engine wasn't on)(misplaced the keys for a bit) and fired right up.
Idle for 10 min then shut off, restart ,all gravy baby,
Edit:went over 150,000 ,5W,30 ALL THE TIME,since egr clean up...several thousand miles ago...

Just purchased my 3rd 5th gen. Got myself an 03 Max 4AT with 59,xxx miles on the clock. First time owning a 5.5 gen and I freakin LOVE it. The aftermarket possibilities with the VQ35 seem to be much larger than with the DE-K.

This past month I installed Vogtland springs on KYB shocks and struts. Front struts were on clearance at Rock Auto. I also scored a set of Katzkins last week and changed all cloth to leather this past Sunday. Front control arms are currently at the machine shop getting the Energy Suspension bushings pressed in. Rims are next!

Harnessed the energy of my blue ***** and pissed all over the place, inside a bottle, inside the car, while driving on highway. Couldn't take it anymore, had to **** immediately and no time to wait and pull over.
Now than takes talent, talent I saiz!!!

^^ Congrats dude, those two mods will surely make you feel something
George_why would it knock? As long as you use good gas. My timing is up to 18* BTDC with no knocking and no starting issues. If your initial timing is too high tho, it can and will cause starting problems.
But I guess it also depends where you live, I can certainly see some knocking concerns if you live in Colorado or something...

I tried the 17* but it makes the knocking type noise. Made thread (https://maxima.org/forums/5th-genera...se-2k-rpm.html)... Maybe it needs a tune due to headers?
I use 93 octane gas only, and I have the NWP spacers which helps heat soak esp. in summer. I would say try using 94 octane george_ since you guys have that in Canada (lucky basterds) and I bet your pinging will go away. And get NWP spacers if you haven't already.

No George no knocking noise present here. As mentioned try a higher octane to see if that helps.
Yesssur! The two mods had a huge improvement in power...Its all proven mods; minimizes the guess work. My initial timing was -1* as well (so 14 i suppose) Next up is Intake and NWP spacers (spacers will be a few months maybe)

Whats the price of 93 out in VA?
A few gas stations close to where i live have 100 octane at the pump; its something like $9+ a gallon.
I use 91 religiously. Shell/Chevron

I think everything said in that thread is on point...And I don't see how headers would affect this in any way.

^^ Looks awesome. Need to do mine.
I just finished recovering my rear seats with leather...About a 100+ Hogrings later my palm is sore. Leather is on; secured. And seats are Installed.
Ran into some problems with passenger seat harnesses and i dropped it for now under frustration :/
Im afraid im gonna have to do electrical; mostly over my head.

Complete PDR (paintless dent removal) all around the car. It had over 15 door dents and the driver's door was pushed in due to a d&$%bag who backed into it a while ago. The door fix was not perfect, but it looks 100 times better now. This really shaved about 5 years off the car. It looks awesome.

I got around to putting in the drivers side seat in part of my leather conversion..just passenger left to do now. 2 of 4 door panels done...cloth to leather door panel conversion blows..few days of work shown in pics.
My hands and palms were literally swollen for a day after removing about 100 plus hog rings....Plenty more pics...iv whored this page enough...

Hey! Since the leather skins are on a metal backing and cloth isnt...once you peel two layers of the cloth off. Next, i pulled up the metal tabs behind the leather pieces and depressed marks into the door foam you see pictured as a guide and drilled notches for the tabs.
The challenge is getting all 8 or 9 tabs lined up perfectly to push thru the notches. Once thru i folded all pins with pliers on doors back-side. These arent coming off unless someone went to take them off. SNUG
I bought a lot of things from him; as part of a package deal/price so hard to break it down for you. Expect to pay a few hundred to say the least...whether thru him or elsewhere.

Nice mate, I installed blue led lights in all my side markers. Caused a bunch of electrical problems though. Like my keyless remote will no longer work? Help?
