Put in my new radio, changed my oil and rotated my tires. I noticed my 1/4 panel rust accelerated to my rocker panels so I poked it and the entire piece fell off . It's a pretty bad eyesore but it's still getting me around lol.

Pic for the weak

I came across an old wire coat hanger. Hehe, yeah. :-p
This GAB is just too ghetto and I dont trust it. Definitely not posting a pic of this garbage(you've all seen it anyway)Considering the hole drilling method.
Ill the check the classifieds for an extra filter holder thingy. I know new ones are expensive. Im trying to keep a stock-like appearance, so a real intake is off the table...for now.

I never understood the coat hanger thing, its not needed. GAB was one of the first things I tried...I have the airbox setup for GAB with full cutout in the filter holder. Looks and fits perfect with no coat hangers. Let me know if you want it fot a flawless GAB setup, and u keep your stock box intact.

Anyway the green fogs is not cool. The fitment of that 5.5 grill is horrible, should have kept your 5th gen grill. Besides that, love the car!

Lets keep it rollin shall we? Now that we got some pics up in here...

Chillin at the dealership this morning, doing some work and fun. Just washed and waxed after the rain ended:

Also cleaning up engine bay, repainting some things, experimenting with things..This is what it looks like currently:

Lets keep it going, put some pics up!

When I looked into GAB a few weeks ago I think I read about the three hole, four hole, cutting a huge rectangular hole in the top and the coat hanger mods. Ill have to reread them. Any info you have is greatly appreciated. You may PM me if necessary.

Glad you're liking it! I miss the turn signal badly!

I'm back to all stock now other than the LED tail light.

Busy Sunday.

Church

Washed the coilovers (tooth brush, rust spray, water & anti-seize)

Used gen 4 to get around town and it decided to say f8k you and I severely bruised my knee

Found the gen 5.5 KYB GR2/H-tech setup to be somewhat mushy

Cut grass then huge amounts of rain and wind came and the grass got all over the gen 5.5 ><

replaced the cabin air filter, couldn't find a good carbonated for under $36, so I did some sleuthing and found one that was a perfect fit (I like it tight) at WallyWorld for $16.94.. thread going up..

Man, that headlights look better on your car to be honest.

You can have dibs on the Tail Lights, you made an offer and I blindly accepted it so yes its yours if I decided to sell it.

^^ looks good, the JWT setup is actually good too not just looks...

Why not change that accordion coupler to a straight silicone? Straighten and smooth out that airflow

Cleaned my MAF with crc cleaner today then used Chemtool B12 into the TB as well. Watched a few rags turn black...as it dripped out.
Sputtered a little on first start...idled at 1.5k for a minute. Settled back to normal by itself in 2 mins.
As a result i feel like my throttle response is now as good as it can get. Gained some powahh maybe??

SES has been on for a while now, finally had it checked cuz the stalling is getting more frequent. Got the 0171 & 0174 codes. New MAF on the way hoping that's all it needs.

Also got a front set of KYB's from rockauto on closeout for $105. Got the rears on closeout a couple months ago for $75. Yoda gonna have a nice little project in the spring with all the parts I've been piling up

I would also use some Seafoam/other to clean the injectors. Also, any potential vacuum leaks?

You got a great deal on the KYB's! Last November, I replaced my front OEM with KYB's and they ride very well - just like the OEMs did, if not better. You'll be happy.
