Those codes usually point to the intake (MAF specifically) when they come up. Most people with those codes have replaced MAF it seems to fix the issue.

This is just info I've seen on here some time ago, never experienced those codes.

Not sure what you did with IACV or what was going on but, maybe you just need a relearn now? Just a thought.

I just keept driving with the cel , and check it again to see if anymore codes had been detected so these the only two on there...

Maf is clearly bad then ,because this all started after the cleanse, although it ran good immediately after the cleaning it slowly declined to it's old self.

Not to mention i need a maf housing since one of the threads got effed up because it was old and brittle the threads came out with the t20 screw.

And the locking mechanism on the maf plug has been damaged forever i doesn't click it's just on there with some trusty ducktape....

I did a lil research and found out it has been running on some kind of mode ,Dennis Mik had a post that stated he had a bad maf and his revs wouldn't go past 4k . This has been happening on the freeway when i get to 80mph and 4k rpm then the vq looses all it's *****.... constantly dying too ,smh she fires right back up but it's annoying...
Thanks,

^^ Yup I believe you're referring to "limp mode" when the car uses base air/fuel maps because MAF is bad.

Dying but starting right back up is a sign too, I had similar **** happening before I put in my 01 MAF, and no issues since then.

Had some led strips from the theretrofit source come in. 6 inch white ones. Very bright! I noticed that they are nearly the sam length as the taillight diameter where the turn signal/brake light meet.

Itd be cool to use them as running lights in the back, but the strips arent red. And my tailights are clear. I thought about coating the strip in red vht spray.. but i wasnt sure if that would work...

I saw my old 5th gen today, sitting in a parking lot. It was nice to see it again, still in one piece and, apparently, still running.

I always look at my "old cars" to see if I could actually find mine, I haven't been so lucky. I always check them out though and look for little details that would confirm it.

I installed PIAA Super Silicone wipers the other day, so far they're great. Might update this periodically to let you know how they are over time.

I put on a brand new front bumper cover. My old one was cracked, chipped and had touch-up paint all over on spots that needed to be sprayed. The new one looks great. Took about 2 hours total. It's really a 2 man job but i'm small and did it myself so it took forever. Easy work though, just time consuming. I ordered it off eBay for $270. Showed up to my door in a week. Front of car looks brand new now. I'll post a pic shortly.

That an factory oem bumper? or an aftermarket oe supplier mfg bumper?
Hows your fitment? From my knowledge aftermarket ones oe style fit like booboo. Good job doing it yourself! next plans??
Is your max a TE package? I ask because of the sneak look at rims in last pic. If so, you have a super rare TE as well...this color was TE exclusive i believe If not; my eyes are fooling me and its early lolz.

Walking the dog I saw one disgusting riced out horrible 6th gen parked right across the street...seen it a few times now so I assume dude lives in that house now which was for rent.

Point is, Im gonna make sure to snap pic and post it here when I see it next time. Preview: big nismo sticker across hood, fake vents, yellow calipers, etc...

You guys should enjoy it...just gotta wait for him to get home lol

That's factory OEM. Fitment is perfect, no gaps anywhere. Next plans are to chill for a while. I've done lots of maintenance lately so i'm not in money spending mode lol. I is a TE package. Automatic though. I need to clean it up and get those wheels shining like they should.

Luckily i live in Charlotte, NC....minimal snow. I've only been here a few months so it remains to be seen what the weather will be this winter. In the past 6 months i've done my 2nd alternator, 2nd battery, rear brakes, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, ignition coils and a crankshaft sensor. Tired of the maintenance lol. It's still leaking a little oil but not enough for me to care right now. Good car, but its taken a lot to keep it in good shape. I'm at 170,000 miles right now and i said i would let it go at 180. Had it about 3.5 years now so let the countdown begin.

Here are some after wash pics.

^Shes a beauty. Id love to find a cali native max like that out here; less driven. My max is at 86k now.
180k miles can be too much for some....but if she keeps running wont consider past it?
Is that a minor dent in the last pic in qtr panel by sidemarkers? didnt see it other pic.

180k it has to go lol. too busy to deal with the maintenance. No dents on the quarter panel. not a single dent in the car. Body is probably 9/10 condition

Bumper was prepainted. Quotes at shops were much more or around the same price. I figured i'd save some money and inconvenience of not having my car by doing it myself. great investment so far.

Drove her for a 200 mile trip. Realized that the shocks are wearing out...few scary dips.
Taking an on ramp- merging from one fwy to another...wide swooping turn...coasting above the limit...hit a few dips in the road and it felt like it was about to loose it. Just feel if the suspension was stiffer it wouldve been better of not leaning in that turn and dipping as much. Runs great Mechanically tho!

Also, in socal it seems Orange county has a lot more 5th gens floatin' around than SD does. Saw too many to make me feel special lolz

Anyone has leads on a black rear bumper for my 00 SE Super Black? One corner has been popped out before, someone backed into the driver's corner and few other scratches. Or, should I repaint or buy aftermarket pre-painted like above? Est costs? So CA area.
