Weight of Stock 15's, 16's and 17's

Anyone actually weighted stock wheels off of their 5th gen? Just curious. Wonder how much my 15" with hubcaps weight?

17" with tires @ 30psi is 40lbs.

I have been thinking hard about some 17" SSR Comp's over my 2k2 SE 17's. If Stock 17"s w/ tires are 40lbs., what do the tires or rims weigh?

17's with tires are 50lb with 34psi.

I think at least 3 people have weighed them including me came out to the same weight.

now how about the rims without tires? Since you guys are choosing rims by their weight without tires... Need weight of stock 15" steel, 16" and 17" alloy

are you talking about OEM 15, 16, or 17"? 30 lbs seems like awfully heavy even for 17".

 That's d@mn heavy! Dropping 10-15 lbs. off the wheels/tires would have to be good for performance!

The reason why those 17" are so heavy is because they are very dense, which is good for everyday abuse. In fact, someone here had an accident where the front tires blew, but the 17" rim remained in tact.

guys are you f***n stupid, I asked you to give me the exact weights of these wheels. If you don't have them, then dont post here. Too much unneeded info.

So stock 17s weigh 30 lbs without tires????

I think Russ's estimate is more or less acurate, because a 17" tire would weigh on average of 23-25 lbs.. the stock 17s are like 25 lbs...

stock 16s off a 5th gen are 20 lbs each without tires. I weighed them on a bathroom scale, came out to exactly 20 lbs. tires are another 20-22 lbs.. so 42 as a combo..

stock GXE 15s.. at least off a 4th gen are around 42 lbs with tires mounted.. I know because I had UPS weigh them.. I sold them as a package.. 2 wheels with tires mounted in a box.. that box, with 2 wheels/tires in it weighed 84.XX or so.. this is without hub caps.. which don't weigh much.

hopefully that helped..

i came across this thread looking for the weight of the stock 17s... :D

those things are heavy!
