Engine rattle right around 2.5K rpm

Okay, here's the deal. Right around 2.5K rpm, more audibly when the engine is under load, I'm getting a rattle coming from it. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in and it's only in about a 200rpm increment. It's really annoying on the highway as it rattles right ~75mph.

It doesn't rattle at any other rpm.

Could this be the timing chain/guides? It sounds like it's coming from the top end to me. It does indeed sound like a "chain" rattle.

If you need me to be more specific, lmk....It's kinda hard to describe.

It is the timing chain, or rather the tensioner. It is common on these, mine has it as well. It is very annoying but not a huge issue. The worst part is its no easy fix as it requires pulling the motor, or so ive heard. It gets expensive,as labor hours rack up. Hope this helps

Pulling the motor? Seriously? God I hate fwd...

Anyways, there's no way to pull off the front cover and get to it from the top? I just did some searching and am getting the same answers you gave me so I'm assuming not. :(

Also, how long before it becomes an issue? I've got 153K on the clock, no oil burning.

EDIT: Just wanted to also mention that it does not rattle on startup. Only at a specific rpm.

Mine does the same around those, rpms. Umm im at 100k now and its been doing it since around 90k so idk when it will actually become an issue. I do know that when I use premium fuel it really minimizes it, but I dont know why.
