Rebuilding my calipers

Hey everyone, I was doing some brake job for first time on my Nissan after 12 yrs with original brake pads and rotors. I have decided to do a complete rebuild on my calipers replace with new seals, while I was doing that I decided to get it painted while I am taking it apart and cleaned before painting it. It turned out great with metallic grey paint with clear coat since my Max is Sherwood green.. Only PITA is the rears since there are snap rings inside the piston once you remove the piston, there a spring. Did anyone ever tried rebuilding rear calipers. After so many trieds and methods to put the springs back in. I finaly had to fabricate witha galvaized Pipe to compress the spring with a c-clamp and managed to get the snap ring back in. However my problem right now is the roller needle bearing for the parking brake is messed up but I can't seem to find a replacement for that. Anyone know where can get a new needle bearing otherwise I would have go junkyard to get one and yank it out. I will post pics of my newly painted rebuild calipers.

i have a rear caliper i planned on rebuilding but I didn't hear about this spring held the snap ring in place.

pics would help, but you are probably right guessing you can't just get that roller needle bearing by itself

they look great.

pics of the tool you fabricated would be great!!, and maybe a tiny how to on what was different on the rebuild due to the snap ring etc from a regular rebuild as on the typ. fronts.

I rebuilt the fronts on a 6th gen bbk and look forward to rebuilding a rear 5th gens after seeing what you did.

Thanks Prophecy for getting my pic posted since I don't have a slighted clue how to it since I had to go post on PPhoto bucket, LOL. As far as the front, it's very easy to do, if you got an air compressor, use a blow gun and put in in where the banjo bolt is and ccompress the air and the piston will pop out, only seals you replace is the ring inside the caliper and the piston seal. Always clean the caliper with part cleaner I got a gallon from Chem-dip Part washer, I let it soak for least 30 minutes and have a wire brush to clean brake dust and gunk. I'll take a pic of the pipe I got at Lowe's and what iI did to compress that damn rear springs back in. However keep in mind the rear are not press in, they have to be screw in.
