Pillager's custom grill ---head's up!!

every time I look at your car I slobber.....and I slobbered even more when I found someone on ebay selling the same grill for the 5th gen Max

I was even more stunned when I scrolled down to get more info on the auction and saw the pic of your car!!!!

I do believe the seller is using the pic without your knowledge....cause when I emailed him to ask him info on installation...he had no idea how to install the damn grill

this is the link for the auction

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...131884&r=0&t=0

the seller's name is bkboehmer ....the seller location is Troy Michigan....and your link at Maxima.org says that you are from PA

he also has more auctions listed selling the grills
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-c...erid=bkboehmer

so check it out......

Thanks

Thanx for the compliments and the heads up. No one has ever asked for permission to use my pics except for Greg @ CustomMaxima.com I hate when people feel free to use other people's images for their own benefit, without asking first. Peace.

P.S. How do I add a "watermark" of my screen name overtop of my images to prevent image theft? Thank You.

You can do watermarks with just about any graphics program such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop. Just make it clear/transparent, and that way people will stay off from stealing it.

if you email ebay and inform them of the copywrite violations, then they will cancel his auctions.

DEI did this to me when I was trying to sell my viper alarm. I used my own picture, but I just copied and pasted the information about it in the body of the auction. 2 days later, I got an email from ebay saying the auction was canceled due to copywrite violations, blah, blah.

just and FYI if you want to stick it to him ... you can

Actually you guys are right, he is mis-representing what he is selling. He is NOT selling the same grille that is in that picture, he is selling a sheet of metal. Pillager bro I would recommened you shoot an email to ebay telling them that that seller is using your picture without your authorization and that the customer is mis-representing what he is selling. Ebay will cancel his auction immediately. It is up to you bro but I would recommened you doing that.

Pillager Jan 19, 2002 10:47 AM

I've sent a detailed message to Ebay, reporting the seller. I included a link to my homepage, so they can see that the pictures are my own and that the seller is not advertising the same item that is being sold. The auction has been over for some time, but maybe this will prevent the seller from pulling this unlawful behavior in the future.

Peace & thanx to those that are looking out for their fellow Maxima enthusiasts.
