Cattman Headers production Run December 2013

Just talked to cattman yesterday and he has a list for headers going. So give him a call to get on the list.

Chris Gregg 12-18-2013 04:48 PM

Do you know how many are on the list?

maurice240sx 12-19-2013 04:30 AM

No

jjubert 12-19-2013 08:02 AM

I need to get a set of these headers! wonder how much they're going for; definitely going to get them in the near future....first things first, gotta get these motor mounts out of the way

Chris Gregg 12-19-2013 12:05 PM

You can still get on the list. Don't have to pay up front.

 No deposit?

Chris Gregg 12-19-2013 07:18 PM

Don't pay anything until the minimal orders are met. THEN you pay deposit to start production and pay remainder when done- before shipping.

NYTooCooL 12-19-2013 08:08 PM

Still happy with the early fall headers I got from him

maurice240sx 12-20-2013 06:35 AM

I think he said early spring. Can't remember.

Slamrod 12-21-2013 12:27 PM

Is there a thread with a sign up list? Also would anyone know if these are for the 3.0 or 3.5? Im looking to get a set of headers and Y for my 4th gen and im aware theres some slight differences between the two.

If hes going to have some 3.0 headers im in it to win it!

I think 95-03 are the same just different y pipes but call him.

$350 for a Y-pipe ..., nice! If I go in, I already have the B-pipe. Will I need a new CAT to make the conversion flow better? His site says the RT cat is NOT available ...? One of my Pre-CATS purrs at about 1800 rpm (annoying) ... Hope to install does not drive me Mad with any rusted bolts ...!

Cattman Site: " 1995-2001 Y-pipes eliminate factory-installed “pre-cats” and are not intended for use on public roads or highways. Primary catalytic converter remains in place and functioning normally." ;)

If your willing to pay 350 for y-pipe then you should save up a little more money and get the entire headers and y-pipe combo. Trust me. Ive have a y-pipe, shorty headers with a y-pipe. Then two sets of cattman header and y-pipe combos. It is a hands down no comparison difference.

How much more are these headers? I am more trying to eliminate a rattle/resonance at 1800 rpm ..., but according to another thread, I am barking up the wrong tree ... I might only keep the car another 2 years, so ... (trying to justifyY-pipe cost, heh heh) ...

IslandMax 12-27-2013 09:25 AM

^what year is your max?

george__ 12-27-2013 09:49 AM

I bought headers and y-pipe from Brian recently. ~$900 range for parts

ablackformula 12-29-2013 08:10 PM

How are you guys getting in contact with Brian? I've left several voice mails and an email and haven't heard back anything.

Just keep calling him. It took me about a week to get him just keep calling

TunerMaxima3000 12-31-2013 05:07 PM

Y pipes:
95-98 are all fed spec.
Some 99-01 are fed spec.
Some 99-01 are Cali spec.
02-03 is different again.

Fed spec has both pre cats in the y pipe. Replacing y pipe eliminates both pre cats.

Cali spec y pipe has 1 pre cat. Only one (of the two) is deleted with a y pipe replacement.

02-03 y pipe has no pre cats in it.

Headers replace the y pipe in all cases, and thus, replace all the pre cats no matter what.

95-03 headers are all the same (except 02 bung and EGR Ports.

Not to try & undercut Brian's business. I posted this here to avoid the hassle from bargain hunters that don't realize the value of Cattman's.

Since I no longer own my 2001 Maxima. I have a set of (gen 2 w/EGR) headers/y-pipe/fastcat/gaskets & etc. (i.e. R-O2 sensor extension cables).
BNIB sitting in my garage, coated w/ VHT flame proof 2Kdeg.F aluminum/ceramic header paint.

Serious inquiries ONLY please, via. PM.
