No Power to Blower Motor
Hello Im new to the forum but I have a question and maybe someone can help. I have a 2000 Maxima and the blower motor is not working. I have manual A/C I changed the resistor checked all the fuses pertaining to the blower motor, took the blower motor out and hooked it up with a battery and the motor worked, so i know the motor is good. I checked the connector to the blower motor with a tester and there is no power going to the blower motor. Could this be a bad blower motor relay?

is there a way to test the switch in the control panel. I checked the fuses under the hood and they are all good. Also i did notice that the blower motor relay felt hot to the touch when the car was on.

The blower motor relay will probably be at least warm normally. When the ignition switch is on, the blower motor relay is energized, meaning the electromagnet coil inside the relay has current flowing through it and that generates some heat. So the real question is: what is normal? I don't know.
Here is something for you to try. Unplug the wire harness and with the ignition switch turned on, ground the thick blue/white stripe wire in the wire harness. The blower motor should run at high speed. This is what the switch in the dash does when it is turned to maximum speed, applies a direct ground to the wire for the blower motor.

The switch is a replaceable item, so you don't have to buy the entire control panel, something I kinda thought you have to do.
switch-fan, Nissan part # 27660-4M400, list price $44.55, online $33.63 + s&h.
http://www.nissanpartszone.com/parts...660-4m400.html
rockauto.com has 2 - one for $31.79 (part # Part # HS420) and another for $33.79 (part # 1S4080) plus s&h. Search for "blower switch".
Autozone.com has 1 for $75.99 (not a mis-type!) forget them. They call it a "blower control switch".
Since the switch connects the blower motor to ground, it's possible that the ground connection to the control panel switch is somehow missing. I can't guarantee that it is the switch.
