Mating 2.25 inch y-pipe to a 2.5 inch exhaust.

Anyone have any experience with this? I've got obx v2s, and am considering a 2.5 inch exhaust.
so many people describe this setup in their sigs, but I'm not sure how this is accomplished?
Even if the two different sized ID flanges just directly bolted together, wouldn't their be undue turbulence at that area??
somebody please. Explain to dum-dum me

Small piping to bigger won't really be a problem.

Oh. Yeah. Duh.
hahah silly me. Ok well sweet then, that was easy.

thanks man, think the flange bolt holes will line up between the exhaust and the different diameter y pipe?
or do I realllly just need to buy the exhaust and find out for myself? -_-

I believe these flanges are readily available and inexpensive, in case they don't align.

Flanges should line up just fine.

Usually the 2 bolt flanges have elongated holes so different pipes bolt up no problem.

Nice, I checked the picture out a little better, and the 2.5 inch flange does indeed have those semi adjustable bolt slits. That's cool.
