Speakers wont work?!

So I've got an 01with the Bose speakers in it. I'm trying to replace the stock radio to put a system in. With the Bose speakers you've gotta have some special converter to make the speakers work with another radio? I've bought an adapter, have the radio plugged in and my speakers still don't work?! I do not understand!! Will someone please help me out?!

There are plenty of Bose replacement threads that could probably help you out. My money is on the Bose amp not getting grounded properly after new HU installation.

When you replace a Bose head unit and want to keep using the Bose speakers, you need to get an adapter like this:

Your speakers should still make sounds without it. Maybe you don't have the ground correct, maybe you didn't wire the adapter correctly or maybe you blew the fuse for the Bose speaker amplifier that is in the trunk.
