What's your Favorite Exterior color for Max
 
There have been plenty of treads for Clear VS Black tail lights but what is your favorite Maxima exterior color?

I have the 2002 Majestic Blue SE w/charcoal leather, but I can't help staring at Sterling Mist or White SE 2002's those look really nice on the 2002. :goofy:

sterling mist or whatever it's called,,,easy to keep clean, and looks sweet....this is my first black car, and i will never buy another black one:bawling:

I am feeling you on the black car thing everybody told me when i bought my 1st black car that I would have it and after 1 year I traded it in for silver. Majestic blue ain't as bad though. :D

On 2K-2K1 SE's, Super Black or the dark green.

On 2K2 all models, Sterling Mist or Majest Blue.

My 2k2 is Sterling Mist...I like it but sometimes I wish I had gotten Majestic Blue (only because S.M. is so common).

Glacier Ice, or whatever you called it.
Then, Grey Lustre followed by Majestic Blue.

If they have a VW silver that would be the one. Sterling Mist is nice under a certain lighting

That's the one color I've always wanted to see on a Maxima. I just don't like Sterling Mist very much, but I love a color like the BMW Titanium Silver.

If I could get a custom paint job I'd have to say a very dark metallic orange color would look magnificent. But I could be wrong. You don't really know until it's done. As far as stock colors I'd have to go for a well-maintained black.

I'm sorry, but I don't think Sterling Mist looks good on a 5th gen.
On 4th gen, it looks awesome.

Nissan should have a real silver like the Altimas.

the grey lustre and superblack look awesome, when dirty the grey lustre looks dull, and the superblack just looks dirty. Nissan has an awesome silver, they use it on the Infinitis.

You mean that the quality is better on the Altima? That is sad...You'd think that they would put a little bit more into their flagship.

I love the Grey Lustre, but it tends to look somewhat dull when it's dirty. After that, the Majestic Blue is quite lovely. Black looks very elegant and mean at the same time when it's well maintained.

The Sterling Mist is nice, but I've never been into light colored cars. My sister ALWAYS gets white cars.

okay so here is a break down of the best color maximas

1st/2nd Gen ?
3rd Gen= Black
4th= Sterling Mist/Black
5th= Sterling Mist/Majestic Blue

It though there was a red 3rd gen but i wasn't sure if i was mixing that up with the crensum red on the 99 SE-L. Yes Red for 3rd gen/Black. :D

I know there have been threads about 5th gen paint problems...Does the 4th gen suffer from bad paint, too?

I got a 99.5 Pathfinder 2 weeks before I got my Maxima, and even that paint comes out looking sparkling after a car wash. The color is dark wine color metalic. Its disappointing, indeed.

I still think it's weird that only (or mainly) the black cars are suffering from bad quality paint..wouldn't they get the paint all from the same supplier?

I think Black looks the best after a wash n wax, but it only lasts about two days. Too bad Majestic blue wasn't available for 00. Silver would have probably been a more maintenance friendly color for me.

My favorite color of Maximas is Sterling Mist.....what is all the talk about it not being a good silver? When i went to pick up my 2K2 6spd, thought i was going to get grey lustre but changed my mind quick when i saw the Sterling Mist..... Jake02

Many feel it's not a true silver like the Altima has always had, and silver is probably the most popular car color in the US but Nissan hasn't offered silver for the 4th and 5th gen. rather grey (sterling mist). I wis Nissan did offer a true silver. I can see a 2002 w/silver paint would be tight.:goofy:
