2001 maxima won't start

Hello I'm new to this club and noob, my 01 not staring I jump start the car and all I get is lights but no crank I switch the battery from my other car and same thing happen no crank only lights, I hit the starter and nothing happens, so it's not the battery so I'm guessing the starter? ??? Or any other ideas

Since you already tried another battery, it's the starter, or the connection between the battery and the starter.

True, that is possible with enough moisture, but it usually begins as weird and intermittent starts.

It's worth a shot, but the solenoid failing is extremely common.

If you're sure both batteries are good then starter.
