Question on replacing REAR Wheel Bearing & Hub Assembly
I believe to replace a Wheel Bearing on REAR, it requires to be replaced along with hub as well. I was looking at rockauto on the parts, and I see the Timken brand for 90.79. However, it says "Tone ring not re-usable, dealer only item". Not sure what this means ?
Also, looking at few other brands for Wheel Bearing & Hub Assembly such as DURA INTERNATIONAL for 26.89, WJB for 25.79, MEVOTECH for 53.79, RAYBESTOS for 79.89, i'm not sure if i should even think about these brands.
Any advise on the above would be highly appreciated.

The tone ring is the ABS ring that look like gear teeth. that's for the ABS sensor to read as the ring is turning along with the wheel bearing. I had my replaced recently and it's very easy and straightforward. I have bought Dura bearings and I have no issue with it. Only thing you'll noticed with the OEM when you pop off the dust cap you will see grease seal. The aftermarket, such as Timken, Dura, Duralast, and etc do not have grease seal, supposedly that's what the dust cap is for to keep the element out.
