Lowering my 5.5 gen with springs?
Would it be a BAD idea to only use springs to lower my ride height about 2" and keep stock struts? If so, what is a better idea that still isn't bank breaking? Or should I just cut the springs

Ive had multiple setups in my maxima. Having lowering springs on stock struts is a waste of time and money. The ride is awful and you will destroy your struts. Any bumps or imperfections in the road sound bad in the cabin and feel jarring. Even on smooth roads, your stock struts lack the ability to control the rebound in lowering springs prior to them blowing. After they do blow, it more bouncy and unsafe.
I wouldn't do anything (especially cut springs) until you have a minimum of about $400 to replace the struts and springs.
