75MM TB, bore IM elbow?
I have purchased a used 7th gen throttle body, and made an adapter harness using pieces from an engine harness i have leftover from an engine swap.
Ive designed an adapter plate using Creo Parametric and imported it to MasterCam so that it can be machined. Now i had a thought: The NWP adapter tapers from 75mm to the 70mm hole in the upper intake manifold elbow. I got to thinking, why not just bore the adapter 75mm straight through, and open the IM opening up to 75mm to match. Im curious if anyone has done this, and looking for outside opinions as well. |
I would actually just go to ITB's and scrap the garbage 75mm TB.

You can avoid an adapter by just redrilling the stock holes. I bored my elbow out with a flapper wheel. It didn't take much. I think it's 73mm to start.
