I canceled my order for the 20”s and ordered 22x8” et 38mm wheels and 225/30/R22 tires. Now the problem I’ve run into is that the back wheel is going to be 1/4” from rear bumper side of the fender and the front wheel is going to be 1/2” from the front door side of the fender. What do you guys think from my measurements to what room is left over? I see there’s maximas with 22”s on them so maybe I can get some feedback from some of you guys on what to do or if Its goin be close but it will clear??? PLEASE HELP WITH AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE!! THANKS GUY!!

A) Stop posting the same thing over and over in various forums. :nono:I deleted all your duplicate threads
B) Please have a more descriptive thread title in the future. Imagine if every thread was titled, "Please help me guys". This helps no one when they go and do a search.

Cancelling your order for 20's and ordering 22's was a mistake. Your max is going to ride, brake, and handle like utter crap. Congrats.

I've revised your thread title to something more appropriate.

Hopefully someone with 22's will chime in and offer you some advice.

Not to mention, it's gonna "look" ridiculous.

trololololololololol  dude, send them back and get some 18's, really. if you want to look like the biggest schmuck on your block, and have all your suspension, steering, and axles take a crap from oversized wheels, then by all means, put those bad boys on.

I agree 10000%, but looks are subjective and open to interpretation. ;)

19's would be the biggest rim I'd go with if looks outweigh performance, handling, braking etc.

i saw a maxima at a junkyard with like 22s or something and he used like some spring compressors on the stock springs to give him the height they needed.

and everything was spray painted gold even the pads. lol
it's not subjective. it's sht. period. All you need is $35 hids to blind the sht out of everyone
and a raiders hat.

yah you can get those spring height adjusters from orileys, i bought a pair for my 93 maxima for the rear to sit up more because the struts were too expensive to replace.

The Wizard Dec 26, 2017 04:49 PM

Looks like we scared the OP away....

MadMax SE Dec 26, 2017 05:03 PM

Perhaps the spring compressors caused the accident?

Joshuai35 Dec 26, 2017 05:17 PM

i bought the 22” anyway

Nice rubberbands for tires...That's gotta be one harsh and bone-jarring ride!

Prophecy99 Dec 27, 2017 06:40 AM

you are lucky they fit ! thats close ! let us know how the turning is and if u experience rubbing....i think the back will rub and u can just shave down the plastic that is rubbing , you will see it sticking out once u have to deal w it.

if looks are you goal i guess your done, but i cant see that driving...too solid.

Joshuai35 Dec 27, 2017 08:47 AM

It rubs just a tiny bit in the front when turning but it’s just the plastic so I’ve marking them and I’m going to remove the plastic so it doesn’t hit anything anymore but I can turn left and right both 100% full u turn and I have no problems with the back. It hasn’t rubbed yet and I have a truck full with my subs and when I just went and sold some othe wheels I had a set of 19” G37 stocks with tires and a set of chrome 20”s loaded up and Stu was all good. I did my homework on the measurements from what my stock tires were and the clearance I had so when I went from a 17x7 with 215/50/17 to 22x8 with 225/30/22 my total diameter of my whole wheel went from 26.3” to 27.3” so 1” taller and from 8.5” wide to 8.9” wide so .4” wider but my stock rim was a 40mm offset and I got the 22” with a 38mm offset so they are almost the same besides the 1” taller. I’ve had fast cars and I’ve had bodydropped mini trucks so I’ve done both. I’ve been a member of Ridiculous Rides now for 14 years and I sold my truck because I didn’t have the room to take my family. That’s why I got a 4 door and this will be going on air cylinders here shortly!

FanaticMadMax Dec 28, 2017 08:06 AM

tacky, definitely tacky, if I wanted big wheels I'll get an SUV. But good luck, you're gonna be eating through tires since your suspension geometry is gonna be way off. I saw a Crown Vic other day with those kind of wheels, this guy was making a right turn slowly and no wonder why he doesn't have the full radius to make a turn because of the restricted wheel well.

I expected it to look worse, but it's not terribly bad for something different
