I have a 2000 maxima, it was running fine then it started acting crazy, when I
would turn my left blinker on the shift lock relay would click in time with the
blinker, then if I pressed the break it would kill the blinker, and blow the fuse
for anti theft, I found the issue there was a hook up for trailer lights break and
turn in the trunk tapped in to the wiring, a little U-Haul box, apparently it got
wet and shorted out, it was burnt and crusty,I removed it and taped up the
bare wires, now all the lights work the way they should and its not spazzing
out on me, But now it wont start, It'll turn over but not start, then if I let it set
for a few hours it will fire and sound like its going to start but for only a second or 2.

Not sure where to start trouble shooting

When you turn the key on does the security light stay on or off? It should go off. If it stays on you have an anti-theft issue.
