Evap leak
 
I have an 02 gle and I had a small evap leak I changed the evap purge solenoid but I think its the wrong one its about half the size the connectors the same. After I changed it seemed like it was better on gas it had pending small leak the light came on today for a large leak now?!?! honestly I'm really frustrated I don't understand how I could have gotten the wrong part everyone I looked at seemed to be the same any advice or points I the right direction would b nice

study a lot more, understand the EVAP system on our car, seraching here helps, i dealt with EVAP for 18 months. find your code, the codes for EVAP matter to the T, EVAP Leak can be like 3-5 different codes depending, when you get your codes search here for your exact codes.

Take this part off the canister. Spray it out with some air. Then spray inside the valve with some silicone spray or wd40. Shake it till you hear the valve. Put it back. Clear the code and wait 60 miles/2 days.

If that doesn't work buy a new one.
