2002 Max Question oil leak
 

My 2002 Maxima 175 K bought new-- This may stump you Right where the trans mounts to the engine That seam there is where i see clean golden oil seeping out after a drive
The strange part is its only coming from that area RIGHT where the crank sensor is plugged in--Now--I took the crank sensor out today it was Dry as a bone!! What i dont get is when the car is off after a drive and i watch that seam right where the trans meets the engine i see a seepage of the clean oil-- Its up high as well (I always change my oil often) More then i need to LOL... Totally dont get whats leaking--If the rear main was leaking i d see oil dripping all around but this is a seepage of clean oil .. Any ideas? What other then the rear main seal would leak where the bell housing meets the engine right at the seam where the crank sensor is mounted!!! Strange!! Aftre about 10 mins it stops seeping out..

its the rms, or the half moon seal right below it. In either case youll need to remove the transmission and drop the upper oil pan, its not difficult with the right tools but definitely very involved.
