Best Valve Cover?
What's the best fit and quality Valve Cover outside of OEM?
ITM APEX Beck/Arnley  |
No need to ever use new VCs unless they crack. In that case get a used one (6th gen preferably). If you need tube seals, then use a hole saw and open the whore up.
I just put RTV on the tubes. |
I got some on Ebay but didn't use the included gasket or PCV valve. first set leaked prematurely and seller sent me replacement. the gasket that came with them got hard and brittle quick and leaked within a month...

I just put RTV on the tubes. Of course, it's the valve cover on the back of the engine, under the intake  |
Update:
Beck/Arnley Brand is over double the price of other after market valve covers, but it's Nissan OEM. Even the gasket is Nissan, Made in Japan. :D:rolleyes: |

What brand gasket did you end up using? Fel pro?
Yes, I went with the Fel-Pro gaskets and a PCV valve from the parts store just in case.. |

It was shipped from Tennessee where the Nissan factory is. I was looking at the cheaper valve covers but from the few reviews I read they are just Chinese junk. |
