Console Armrest inner lid doesn't fit
Hey guys,
I had an oil change done at a trashy place and the mechanic was so fat that he used his elbows on the armrests to reposition himself in the seat and he shattered my center console. I was so mad that I told them just to order the part and give it to me, that I didn't want them to touch my car anymore. It's an easy enough fix. I got the part from them, and it is TECHNICALLY correct but it doesn't fit. I'm looking up the part and it keeps going back to the same one: 969A0-3Y103. That's the part they gave me. That's what shows up for my vin, or any 2000-2003 Nissan Maxima for that matter. But it looks different than the original, in that it has these weird "fins" or raised plastic lines all along the mating surface. It just won't fit because of them, no matter which way you twist it. The original one looks nice and flat, and lays perfectly against the metal surface that it screws onto. I can't find anything like it anywhere. I have attached a picture of the old and new. Has anyone ever seen this? Edit: I have added some more photos. I can not find my version of the center armrest anywhere. It looks like I have a long metal plate that was later changed in manufacturing. All of Nissan's parts pages say the "new" part is correct for my date of manufacture, but they are obviously wrong. Mine doesn't exist anywhere. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/maxima....87bd163c63.jpg |
