Replacement window switch won't work

My old master window switch won't control the passenger side window. I tried a couple from a salvage yard then bought a reman from switch doctor. Only the old switch bank will work (minus passenger window functionality). Any attempt to replace yields no functionality whatsoever. What might be the problem?

does your passenger window side switch work? you need a fully functional passenger side window switch for the master window switch to work. When the passenger side switch is in its home position (not press or pulled) it connects the circuit from the master switch to the passenger side window motor. You can probably pull a rear window switch and put it in the passenger side that's not working to test everything out.

If I reach over to the passenger switch, it works. The replacement master switch has no functionality at all on any window.
