Passenger Headlight (Low & High Beam) Not working, Daily DRL's work fine.

Hello, I currently drive a 2002 Maxima GLE with the HID (Xenon) low beam headlights. It is the Canadian model with the Daytime running light module. My problem first started out a while ago when my passenger high beam stopped working. Tried to replace the 9005 bulb with no luck. The other day my passenger low beam (HID) kicked the bucket.

I have tried swapping relays which seem fine, I swapped the headlights left and right to confirm the problem was not in the HID bulb itself. I believe the RH relay circuit is bad as their is no clicking noise of the relay changing at the RH relay location but when I swap the relays the left headlight still works fine ( Low and High). What would be the best way to test the RH relay circuit without yanking the whole harness out of the car?

EDIT #1

Confirmed battery voltage of approx. 13.8 V at RH relay but no 12V at RH HID pigtail/plug. Appears power transfer is lost between RH Relay-> DRL Module -> HID Plug.
Confirmed power supply at left side HID wiring. According to Nissan dealer near they no longer OEM DRL module, Smart entrance control unit, or the Headlight dimmer/signal lever.
Still need to purchase a better a multimeter to test continuity as the tester I used was my grandpa's from 1980 haha.

Laugh with me now cause it gets better, the driver side HID went out on while hooking everything back up LOL ( I hate my life right now ya'll) pretty sure its just the bulb cause when i turn the lights on it flickers and then doesnt do anyting. Thinking I bumped it toooo hard putting it back in and broke the glass holding in the gas. FML lol but will swap out the left side bulb tomorrow with new one too confirm.

Debating on making a whole new wiring harness that matches OEM spec, or jimmy rigging the headlights to a separate circuit entirely connected to an aftermarket combination switch.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Hey, I also have a Canadian model with DRLs and one of the high beams isn't working. The DRLs work fine as yours. I searched the forum a few months ago and found where the DRL module needs to have some connections re-soldered. Try searching and see if you can find the info.

Best

Hey sorry to hear you're experiencing the same thing.

Some updates since then, I have confirmed power at the hid plug for low beams (battery voltage while running). I don't believe the voltage changed prongs though when I switched to the high beams.

I agree it is probably a DRL module that has a bad ground/cold welded issue on the board.
